Monquie Wittig a philospher and novelist, somewhere b/w Lacan and Voltaire, died today in tucson. a radical dyke, with a racous sense of humour, she argued that lesbian was another gender, because of how women were constructed by the society we live in (The Lacanian absence vs presence), and then uses the presuppostion to write satires about amazons with rocket launchers and heavnes filled with big tited leather clad angels riding bikes thru the clouds.
