warhol

got the cr for prints from the library, and i wonder--there are at least 6 series of prints that i dont think are included--but some of those may be silkscreens, which confusingly the compilers think must be paintings--and lots of the notes in the back feature the phrase this was also a painting--so as far as im concerned the tradtional splitting of an artists ouerve into media falls apart in warhols case...& i wonder why they did it this way.

bitch phd

(midwest on the side) has linked me--and im honoured--shes brilliant.

family

thinking of the family w. 16 kids below--im a bad femminist, i belive that the state does not decide families, that the descions that people make about their own families are personal, that a womans right to chose should include having children as well---and though the personal is political, and i find their idelogy sometimes repugant, the idea of communal living and the ideological connection b/w community work and family work is something that is close to my heart--i do not think that i was fair to the woman or the father in question.

thinking that--if we belive that femminism is about making choices--what are the (poliitcal/social/personal) implications of chosing sublmination to the patriachy ? (is submitting to a patriach defacto submitting to the patriachy?)
