more info here the gentleman's name is Bryan Kerrigan, his moving from art to craft, from design to aesthetics has a really complicated give and take. it looks good on gallery walls, and attaches to the history of faux bois, pop, minimalism, etc---it could be french from the 17th century or it could be some kind of mccracken/judd thing. it makes me happy
