william garnett, a california photographer, who's arieal photographs of the new suburbs of los angeles, are beautiful and scientific discussions of population and how we live now, adn who ahve the same kind of energy as some of he new topographers 10 or 20 years before they did it, is oneof the more under rated american photographers, and one i feel tender towards. he died at the end of august.
