1. less impressionist work then modern work sold (for example, Degas, Renoir,Van Gogh, Pissaro, Signac all sold low or not at all), with the rise of prices in the post war market, and the best impressionist work already been sold under inflated prices, this would make sense (though a 1873 Monet landscape, of the french countryside, went for 44m, which means his market for iconic pictures is solid) (though a more abstract, and i think better paitning, from 1908, Nympheas, went for a 1/4 of that)
   
2. i mean there is still french art from the 19th century that sells for more then its worth, (for example, Matisse's derritave 1935 canvas, Portrait au manteau bleu for 22m)
3. A handful of excellent Schiele drawings for 1.77m, 888k, 1.04m, and 668k)
4. also, one great Vuillard, for 7.9
5. Giocemetti did well, with several prices above 10, and the nearly 8 foot skeletal bronze Grande Femme DEbout II, for 25m, and a couple of really nice Moore's also sold for decent if not great prices, sculpture should do better
   
6. 14 out of 58 unsold including Leger, Kees Van Dogen (because some ididot thought it was worth 12m), tow monets, a van gogh, a matisse, a gaugin, a picasso, and a Malloli went unsold) and 5 below estimate, including selling a gaugin (a great if unconventional gaugin, for 2m under, which is unheard of during a boom)
