talking today to c and her friend dave and pat, about jesus etc (it was a complicated conversation, in tactics as well as subject) but they both saw the divine, and the divine save there lives--and when i was in the hospital or in bed, wanting to slice my wrists to ribbon, prayer seemed really not to function, not to work, not to do anything for me.

are the stories effective--do they cradle you and let you sleep when its dark, do they let you wake in the morning, does the smoke rise in the way you need it to rise ?

then pray the way you need to pray.
