obama has his own pride logo. (looking at how his website is so information heavy, up to date, consant, with excellent use of social networking software, and a belief that visual cues and easy of use is as impt as text--that information presented, and easily shared can exist with text as well as images, makes him the first post modern candiate, and is one of the reasons hes on the list (cf every one of his positons, from glbt to sporting, from abortion to health care, is available as downloadable pdfs. every page has a contact obama logo, every blog post has software to link it to 6 seperate aggreators, and he is a member of 16 social network comunites, including flickr, twitter, digg, facebook, myspace, faithbase, blackplanet, asiave, baganta (hispanics) the caucaus information is in convenient faq form, with links to email for more details, etc etc etc...

obama communicates the way that people my generation communicate, he trusts our ability to absorb,anaylse, disemiate, adn critque information, respects our questioning natures...i imagine it feels like mcgovern in 68, except obama looks like hes going to win (also hes reading carl wilson's book on celine dion apparently)


it means an enormous amount, personaly, to have a candiate who uses glbt, who believes family is made not born, who puts glbt in people and not issues, who wishes to repeal dont ask dont tell...who stands at the pulpit of the ebenezeer church, and furthers Correta Scott King's expansion of Dr Kings message to all others. it hurts my soul that he still will not say marriage, that he shares a dais with men of god who destroy queer voices, and that he cannot speak out against them in america,but this is the first presdential candiate in my life time, who i think not only spends time with fags, but listens, absorbs, and wishes for us to have a place at the table--there are other reasons, why i would vote for obama, his infastructure program, his arts program, his healthcare positions, his speechmaking, his hope adn optimisim, but the queer stuf is the msot personal.

& after dont ask dont tell, and doma, the hypocrisy of the hrc voting for hilary galls me.
