Rachel has a show at Trinity Square Video right now, part of a group show with Alex Morrison and Rhizome head Mark Tribe about the aesthetics of protest (the show is named after the port huron statement, which seems slightly out of time) Rachel's work "It's a Computer" , a mash up of various political speakers from High Park in London, does more with issues of control, free speech, digital dissemination and the curation of information then most--it is a taut, difficult, and profoundly discomforting work, and it stands up to a cryptic but lovingly shot peice about SFU and vancouver's protest history by Morrison, and Tribe's Port Huron work (which was the inspiraiton for right now)
