how do terry richardson/nan goldin/ryan mcginley/larry clarke manage to take such initimate photographs--clarke talked about letting everyoine see that you have a camera, but what happens after that, how do you respect the subject/photographer ethic. what is the subject/photographer ethic in this new age where everything and anything can be photographed (by assuming personae/by moving into fiction/by making sure everyone in yr life is exploited/exploiting ?)

i find myself more interested in richardson lately...in his balance between stage and not stage, between portrait and street shot; b/w party shot and porn shot;b/w high fashion and low art)
