52 book project

i have decided that instead of recording all my books this year, im going to try to read 52 fiction books (novels, anthologies of short stories, ficciones, post modern constructions, et. al) and record those--aside from the usual research, and nf i will read, which i will not record (i read 37 books of fiction last year)

completed so far:

52
The Tent--Margaret Atwood
really short, really simple, parables and rerealised fairy tales, cautionary works, more concered with eco-politics then the gender politics of good bones, but basically a (clever, funny, well constructed) version of that.

51
Best American Erotic--2006
one of the best, i have written before about this, but this one was funny, tender, hard, and viscous in equal measures, with small town americana and wild raelbais in equal measure--the more typical/vanilla hetroeroticism tend to be better written then the kink for the sake of kink, as is the usual case.

50
BAE--1996
Just getting on her feet, of its time, with 3 (!) vampire stories, not worth another read.

49
Holleb ecq--Elementary Particles
kinky, self involved, hateful, boring, misogynyst, racist, obtuse, philosophical and actually mastabtory (ie mentions jacking off once every 5 pages or so) and hates americans, in a really cheap never eaten a big mac, never seen kansas kind of way a parody of populist french philosophy of the celine/batialle school, the first 100 pages were readable but the rest is easily dismissed
