one of the things i like best about some devtional art, is the literalism of it, give yr heart to jesus means ripping it out of yr chest (the colour is amazing, that spot of red in admist the white and black, and the idea of being good enough, perfect enough, to know the heart of christ enough that he exchanges it with you, the corperality, the physicality of christ, has an intensity unmatched.
