Papers are invited on any aspects of the topics of suffering, the sacred,
and the sublime in literature from a Christian perspective.
Interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches to these topics are
encouraged.

Topics may include:

* The sacred spaces of suffering
* Mystical (un)knowing
* The literature of mourning
* Survivor testimonies
* Trauma and the sublime
* The feminine/masculine sublime
* The evolution of the sublime in literature
* Genre and the shape of suffering
* The unrepresentable voice of the victim
* The postmodern sublime

Inquiries are welcomed at any time. Proposals or abstracts should be sent
by Dec. 15, 2006 to Dr. Holly Faith Nelson (Holly.Nelson@twu.ca).

(speech codes, left/right, focculdian access to power, controlling hersies, what is strictly written, what is left unwritten, byu, loyala, yale, northwestern, uscs, trinity western) (ie:

documents that one signs, about approite behaviour, they have one at trinity western, and byu, and liberty--documents talking about control of bodies, of speech, of sex, of all sorts of things like that--and compare t hem to more radical examples, from berkley, ucsc, etc that do the same thing for opposite reason
