21 Watchmen Alan Moore
i found it difficult to follow, a little dull, and its subtext was ciompletely lost to me, but some of teh drawings were jaw dropping, and i know its good, brilliant even--i think moore's mileage will vary depending on how close you are to the source material.

20 Gatsby

this, and proust were both mentioend in a few places, so i read it again. the writing is as good as i remember, its an incredibly quick read, and i dont think ive ever had a deep thought about it, or any thoughts about it....(i also wonder how the hell bechdel 's father used it to seduce anyone, as is alluded to in fun home)

though this line heartening, in the publishers note on the text:
his spelling was idiosynctatic, he had difficulty with details of geography adn arthimetic, he relied on his editor...to check his work...
