edward winkleman posits that a (western) century has ten great artists in it, and modern art notes then writes his list for the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. this might be a fun game to play. (as per usual artist for me, means visual worker)

You are a very interesting human being, Anthony - I'm so glad stumbled on your web site. I had no idea there were recordings of Sylvia Plath around to listen to - you put me in 7th heaven with that. And that "converted" dude, the homophobic guitarist? Dang, I like the melody, I like the sound of his voice, but his message, Jesus Mother! It's like those people get off on their new religiion and have to tell everyone about it - problem is, they never get over that stage and will do negative things to people to try and force them. Crazy!
