Edinbourough Opera tried to give out 1600 tickets to Wagners Ring Cycle for those under 27, they succeded in giving away a little under 250.

They are calling this the death of opera among the young, but frankly trying to get any one involved in sixteen hours of wagner. You would have be part of the cult to even enjoy that, and a v. spec. cult.
