1) This is really Balderssai's coming out as a major figure, with several fairly impt work going for more than 1/2m and one of his fantastic instructional text peices going for 4.4
2) Morris Louis for 2.9m ?!?!
3) Warhol Disaster Painting (Green Car Crash) hit Picasso prices, at 71.7, Lemon Marylin for 28.4, so those two paitnings, 100m.
4) are people buy 1980s martin because they work better in corperate offices, or because teh mid 60s ones are all in musuems. (66 drawing here for 4.84, another 65 one for 4.7, so it might be a price thing)
5) early johns i thot would go for 30 or 40 went for 17
6) totally wrong about de kooning, the sothebys auction was a minor blip.
7) hesse works on paper, for 4 or 5, several of them, seems to be because no one is shipping her latex work, for fear of losing it entirely.
8) more wesselman lips, god i love wesselman lips
9) a marlboro cowboy by prince went for 2.84, its better then the one that sold for a million three auctions ago, but they estimated it for 900k, which seems to be lowballing it, so i dont know why they did that.
