Phillips, et al Contemparary.

1) phillips is really good at getting the maximum prices for conflicted, unstable, untested, emerging, etc artists, like almsot a million for a brown drawing, or 6 figures for richard phillips.
2) nothing really new here, the big items (a hirst, a peyton) seem the dregs of other auctions
3) even the warhols are late 80s, the judds are kind of lurid, the ryman is dreary, good prices for medicore work.
4) 466k for a Kawara, which means his entire ouevere is worth billions, how do you choose one over the others, how is a 1999 worth 150k less than a 1976? (is it the date, do you buy it accordinf to whats availble or to a date that is impt personally?)
