Alec Soth takes photos of the pyschosexual implications of Niagra falls--modernist comments on the motels, portraits of the people who marry them (in clothes, out of clothes, documentary pix of weddings), scans of found love notes, tourist kitsch snapshots of the falls. They work indvidually as aesthetic objects, but even better as a seires that plumbs the poltical implications of middle/working class desire.
