1. 135/271 Lots bought in, all early albumen prnits, including some impt work by Frith (including one of the pyramids) a nice Cameron portrait, a Carroll of Xie, two Missone Landcapes, all very gothic, Two Patsch labotory work, a Monditti of her lover WEston, where he looks like some dark wizard, Sander's portrait of a Laywer, three other Sanders, a dora morr print of the north sea, four brandts though not a nude, four brava's, two friedlander shadow self portraits, a calligraphic, zen like photo fo weeds in the snow by Callahan, ten horst's all cheap, none distinguished, A nIcholas Nixon print of his sisters, a lot of 14 Araki Polarids, A great mid period Sherman (120, deeply human which pardoically makes it more so) A warhol SE Parts, Two Hoefer Library photos, Goldin photo of Greer in the bath tub (i like her work in bathrooms) one of my favorite STernfields (a washed out, faded portrait of WEt and Wild in Orlando, a great KLawler of WArhol's pillows, a Dijkstra of a child, and two Fox Talbots

3. For someone who's entire lifes work was sold for a pittance in the early 70s, at the Potabello market, charles jones keeps doing really well, which is nice, because his pictures of flowers, vegetables and fruit, have an intense beauty
   
4. Kersetz tends to do better at Anglo auctions, rather then American ones, i think thats because of patterns of migration and Kersetz time there
5. prices are settling, later imprintings of even iconic cartier bresson, including the boy with e baguettes, are less than 6k
6. I keep wondering who buys Bravo's foto of the assination of the journalist in mexico city, more then weegee, more thn capra, its so violent, i mean its a really great image, reminding one of the assination of maxmillian by manet, but its got to be a musuem purchase (this one bought in)
7. Mary Ellen Mark is really a kind of cleaned up Arbus, her circus photos of india (four that went unsold) are the worst kind of tourist shot (eps the black and white, the found studio, the freak show compoenets)
   
8. Who gets the money when NASA photos are sold at auction? (NASA photos ar auction are a fascainting case study in money aestheticing science)
   
9. Chester Higgins portrait of a Muslim woman in NEw York ca 1990 looks like something Richard Burton would shoot 100 years earlier.
   
10. Marylin always sells (5 Stern, two decent, one iconic, for b.w 5 and 10) (though a lot of five prints by Dienes didnt sell, however at least one of those pritns featured her covered by a blanket)
