a) that much of the people who identify with queer and kink communities do not identify with geography

b) that there is a lot of sexually violent work that features cowboys,

work that is basically rape

and i keep thinking its a way of erotizing trauma, but is that too obvious a freudian sublimation

c) much of the king work made for mid/.westerners by mid/westerners

is not explict in its ruralty

so the coasts getting images from the cowboys in the midwest is working out okay, there is not much porn made outside of new york/sf so there is not much work about self represntation in porn at that time, and the queer/kink work that was done by midwestern communities does not focus on geographic issues, but focuses on kink queerness, etc...still have some work to do, still have some work made for queer folks in those places, but do people from the midwest thinnk of themselves as geographic others in the same way?
