well jeremiah is hebrew scripture, and christ did preach peace (cf swords and plowshares)

no one on the left is agreeing that sadaam is a good man, we agree at best he is evil.

the damage done to his people, the starvation and the death, is often UN lead, thru boycotts etc.

I am not convinced, and the weapons inspectors were not given any time to convince me, that sadaam has legitmate weapons of mass destruction.

also, all of yr arguements could be made for North Korea,Zimbobwae(sp), Rwanada,China, some of the Baltic States, and many others, why are we going after Iraq ?

You must remember as well, we armed Sadaam and put him in place, something the americans have done 277 times in 226 years- you guys installed Pinochet in Chile, Noregia in Panama and Sadam himself, it is absurd with that information to assume that this is a war to save the world.

About dissent, the left is built on feelings of pluraity, and of fair play, we often encourage dissent, and i would like more information on the these conseartive newspapers being taken off campus, etc. (see i am a leftist and i am informing myself rather then condeming !)
