i think what the images show, is that the history of christianity in the 20th century is a history of democratazation--it might be the curator, but looking over and over these images--black, queer, female are all placed as christ herself, and f holland day, who made himself christ out of humility, flows into serrano, who made the body central.

the phyiscal christ, and the metaphyiscal christ, both combine into a complicated histography.
