The thing that the left needs to get from the far, theocratic right, is the ability to organiuze, we used to have that, think of the church networks that allowed the montgremy bus boycotts to happen.

The latest example is http://www.americansoffaith.org/, which leads me to two questions.

1) when did they get to take over god ?
2) why cant we be that earnest, is camp/irony/sarcasm so ineffective compared to people who believe something so deeply that they cannot joke about it ?
