Anthony Easton is never away from his. He is probably the most ballsy photographer I know. His photos are stark and at times hard to appreciate. He hovers between art and documentary, favoring sometimes-subtle kitch, lurid lettering, colour fields and unnoticed ephemera in public space. His digital camera is essential to capture, and nobody will be as abrupt and immediate about taking a photo. He interrupts conversations just to snap one off, leaving everyone around scratching their heads asking themselves "why is he taking a picture of THAT?".
